This video was produced as part of a Tribute Event honoring post Hurricane Katrina volunteers from Berkshire County. It is both an inspirational story of the human spirit as well as a reminder of how much is left to do, even three years later.

Help

Completely inspiring… also happy to hear one of my fav musicians being used as the film opens (Ellis Paul).
Earlier this evening I had read a story and viewed photos by John Rosenthal from a year and a half after the water was gone. Text and photos.
“The Ninth Ward, in its ruin, was believable, but only in the way certain dreams are believable-post-World-War-III dreams. Miles and miles of empty houses. No voices, no cars-an eerie silence except for the distant rumble of dump trucks, the occasional crunching of wood.”
So many lessons still to learn.
Thanks for sharing this, David
